Teen pop star Spears tops list of most searched items on Lyco

Terra Lycos unveiled its Top 50 search terms for the year 2000, based on The Lycos 50. And, teen pop sensation Britney Spears tops the list of the most searched terms, followed by Dragonball Z, Pokemon, WWF, 'N Sync, Pamela Anderson, tattoos, Napster, Jennifer Lopez and the Summer Olympics. 'N Sync took the top slot among bands; Eminem is the top male serached; Dragonball Z is the leading fad. The Lycos 50 (http://50.lycos.com) is a weekly list of the 50 most popular people, places and things users are searching for on the Web. The Lycos 50 for 2000 is based on user searches from Jan. 1 through Nov. 25, 2000.
