Televisa has Rugrats

GUADALAJARA--Nickelodeon LatinAmerica has signed a deal for Televisato tape and air its "Rugrats en Vivo"show, which opens in Mexico March 11.Televisa will show the taped versionfirst on its DTH service Sky Mexicoand on its cable company Cablevision,to be followed by broadcasts on opentelevision.

Televisa has an existing relationshipwith Nickelodeon, from which it buys thedubbed version of "Rugrats" for its broadcast channel 5.

The live-action show will not appearon any of Televisa's platforms untilafter "Rugrats en Vivo"'s 10-day run,and probably not until late April. Thefeature-length "Rugrats" film opens inMexico at the end of March, and Nickelodeon does not want to cut into potentialbox office receipts.
