J.C. Penney Co.'s account has been consolidated at DDB
Worldwide after Temerlin McClain, Irving, Texas, resigned its last remaining piece of Penney's business, the $14 million account for Penney's private label St. John's Bay apparel. Plano, Texas-based Penney's in April awarded up to $200 million of its $372 million in ad spending to DDB Worldwide, Chicago and Dallas. Temerlin had handled the entire account and declined to participate in the review. DDB's Dallas office made an inroad into the retailer when it won advertising for Penney's Arizona line a year ago.
