Thai ad spend set to rise

Published on .

BANGKOK - A sharp but so-far unquantified rise in ad spending by governmentministries and state enterprises is predicted to contribute to an overall growth in the Thai advertising industry of 10%, to $1.8 billion by the end of 1996.

Khoo Khaeng Data Bank reports that the real estate sector's media spend during the first five months of the year was $124m, down 10% from the same period last year. The Thai ad industry has grown by between 15% and 20% percent in recent years.
