Thai woman named to O&M worldwide board

Published on .

BANGKOK -- A Thai woman has become the first Asian to sit on the board of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide. Sunandha Tulayadhan, group managing director of O&M Thailand Ltd, is also only the third woman elected to the board. Miles Young, president of O&M Asia Pacific, said the promotion acknowledges Sunandha's work in Thailand and the important contribution she has made in developing business across Indochina in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.

Sunandha graduated with an art degree earned on scholarship at Rochelle College in New York and has been with O&M Thailand since it opened in 1972. She joins O&M Worldwide Chairman Charlotte Beers and Chief Executive Shelly Lazarus as the only women on the board, which oversees 274 offices employing 10,000 people around the world.
