(July 3, 2001) -- Technology news analysis service The451, New York, has named Martin V. McCarthy its chief executive officer. He most recently was providing angel funding and strategic counsel to interactive service start-ups since completing the sale of IDD Enterprises LP/Investment Dealers' Digest to Dow Jones & Co. in 1998. McCarthy succeeds Dan Gardner from Durlacher Corp., who had served as interim CEO since March. The company also will move its headquarters from London to New York. -- Adrienne Mand
