Thomas lands at auto dot-com

Published on .

Former AutoNation USA executive Bob Thomas took the post of president-CEO at DreamLot.com, a new- and used-car informational Web site in Mountain Valley, Calif. Mr. Thomas, 55, left a year ago as exec VP-strategic marketing at AutoNation USA, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Before that he was president of Nissan North America. The dot-com is signing up dealers for the new service and expects to start a formal agency review in a week or so, said Michael Coates, director of integral marketing. The site, due to go live this spring, plans to accept ads from dealers and carmakers.
