Thrifty rolls first ads from Bernstein-Rein

Published on .

Thrifty Car Rental, Tulsa, Okla., this week breaks its first TV advertising from Bernstein-Rein, Kansas City, Mo. The multimillion-dollar push starts on network TV and extends to more than 200 cable programs over the next 10 weeks. Print and radio also are included. "Gods & Monsters'' actor Jack Plotnick plays all the parts in the broadcast spots, touting Thrifty's quick service and value prices. The new tag: "Not different. Just Thrifty.'' Bernstein won the $13 million account last fall. The account went into review after Ackerman Mc-Queen, Tulsa, resigned it.
