TI chief dies

Texas Instruments, Dallas, said Jerry R. Junkins, 58, TI's chairman-president-CEO, died of cardiac arrest Wednesday while on a business trip in Germany. The company has an office of the chief executive, made up of Mr. Junkins and Vice Chairmen Bill Mitchell and Pat Weber. The latter two will continue the functions of the office.
