$60 Million Take Puts Him Ahead of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Golfer Tiger Woods was named the top sports endorser for the fourth consecutive year in an annual study done by Burns Sports & Celebrities, Evanston, Ill.

Mr. Woods makes an estimated $50 million to $60 million a year in endorsements, primarily with Nike, American Express Corp. and General Motors Corp.'s Buick.

Basketball stars Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, whose Los Angeles Lakers team won this year's NBA champsionship, were second and third, respectively, while tennis' Anna Kournikova -- who has never won a professional singles tournament -- was fourth.

Rounding out the top 10 were cyclist and Tour de France victor Lance Armstrong; Mr. Bryant's Los Angeles Lakers teammate Shaquille O'Neal; tennis sisters Venus and Serena Williams, who played against each other in recent Grand Slam finals; baseball star and single-season home run king Barry Bonds; and skateboarding/Gen X icon Tony Hawk.
