Time, Telescan partner for FortuneInvestor

Published on .

Time Inc. and Telescan announced a strategic agreement to develop FortuneInvestor, a Web site that will combine Fortune editorial content with Telescan's stock and mutual fund information. The service will be priced starting at $9.95 monthly up to $100 a month for sophisticated financial planning information.

Under the terms of the agreement, announced Oct. 23, Time Inc. New Media will be responsible for sales and marketing for the site, which does not yet have a domain name. Telescan will provide its financial database, research tools, Web development and management. The companies will share in subscription, advertising and other revenue from the site, expected to launch early next year. The company also expects to sell bulk licenses to brokerages and other institutional clients.
