Time.com users get sneak peak at Man of the Year

Published on .

For the first time, Time Inc. New Media debuted Time magazine's Man of the Year two days before the print issue appeared on news stands. Time.com readers found out Intel Chairman and CEO Andy Grove was the winner on Saturday afternoon.

In discussing its selection of Mr. Grove, Time's managing editor Walter Isaacson said in a statement, ``The microchip has become like the steam engine, electricity and the assembly line--an advance that propels a new economy.''
