TIME WARNER BOOK SITE YIELDS PUBLISHING DEALS

Published on .

(Aug. 6, 2001) -- AOL Time Warner's Time Warner Books has published the first works of authors found through its iPublish.com site.

The first three books, a medical thriller, romantic comedy and science-fiction novel, were chosen from more than 1,000 submissions to iWrite, the site's online writing community, which was launched in April.

In addition, iPublish.com has kicked off a promotion that invites people to read excerpts of each book before they are available for purchase, and to vote for their favorite. A grand-prize winner will receive $500 worth of Time Warner books. The promotion will be featured on America Online. -- Adrienne Mand
