The New York Times Co. will invest in and provide programming for Ovation: The Arts Network, a cable network scheduled to launch this winter. The Times also will provide the channel with ad sales support, publishing and interactive media services. Beginning Oct. 3, Ovation will televise a two-hour weekly block of programming on Tele-Communication Inc.'s tv! preview channel, until its formal rollout later in the year.
