Titanic ratings for Discovery

Published on .

Discovery Channel, Bethesda, Md., said its two-hour "Titanic Live" telecast Aug. 16 from the ship's Atlantic Ocean wreck site was the second-highest- rated program in its history with a 4.1 rating (3.04 million households). It said the performance was noteworthy because the live show aired outside of prime time on the West Coast (5 p.m. to 7 p.m. PT). Discovery noted the Titanic story also generated its top-rated show, the 1997 "Titanic: Anatomy of a Disaster," which drew a 4.5 rating.
