(May 30, 2001) -- TMP Worldwide, New York, which owns career site Monster.com, announced today that it has acquired job site FlipDog.com from WhizBang! Labs of Provo, Utah. Terms were not disclosed.

As part of the acquisition, WhizBang! Labs will provide TMP with information extraction services. TMP will continue to operate FlipDog.com as its own entity and site, serving as a data resource for TMP's other businesses, including advertising and communications, recruitment advertising and creative services.

Monster.com also is acquiring Jobline, which will open new markets in Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, Sweden and Finland. The Jobline acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions. -- Adrienne Mand
