'Perfect business sense'
Because of the strength of the Monster brand in the consumer marketplace, the decision makes "perfect business sense," one executive said. The company's directional marketing and advertising and communications divisions will retain the TMP name but be labeled "a division of Monster Worldwide."

The company's listing on Nasdaq will change from TMPW to MNST on May 1.

Monster.com, with a presence in 20 countries and annual marketing expenditures of almost $100 million, is currently searching for a global agency and a senior vice president for marketing. The new shop will also be responsible for the rebranding of Monster Worldwide.
