Tobacco marketers mull issue ads

A tobacco industry spokesman confirmed a report in The National Journal that tobacco marketers are again debating whether to launch an ad campaign to give their side on the tobacco negotiations. A decision on what could potentially be a $20 million campaign could be imminent, the magazine said in its issue due out Friday. Bozell Sawyer Miller Group, Washington, handles public relations related to the settlement and Bozell/Eskew, Washington, would likely be tapped for related ads.
