'Today' and The Knot launch realism feature

Published on .

NBC's "Today" will air a 12-week series featuring a betrothed couple, selected on-air, who will have their entire wedding, from wedding bands to honeymoon destination, decided upon by viewers watching "Today" and voting on the Internet after each weekly segment. In the segment, "'Today' Ties the Knot," Carley Roney, co-founder and editor in chief of wedding site The Knot, and "Today" co-host Katie Couric will offer ideas for every aspect of a modern wedding. Viewers will use an NBC Web site to vote on everything, including the featured couple; the winning selection from each week of the series will be incorporated into the couple's actual wedding ceremony, which will be held on the final day of the series at Today Plaza in Rockefeller Center.
