TOP CHRYSLER MARKETING VP QUITS

Jim Schroer Headed Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler Brands

DETROIT (AdAge.com) -- Jim Schroer, executive vice president for global sales and marketing for Chrysler Group's Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler brands, resigned today, according to the company.

Chrysler said Mr. Schroer's resignation was effective tomorrow.

The Chrysler spokesman said Mr. Schroer is "going to pursue other interests in other areas of the marketing profession."

Mr. Schroer, 51, joined the DaimlerChrysler unit in February 2001 from Ford Motor Co., where he was vice president of global marketing. He had been with Ford's corporate ad department since October 1996 before leaving to take the Chrylser job. His resume includes marketing stints at RJR Reynolds and STP.

His successor is Joe Eberhardt, 38, who had been president-CEO of DaimlerChrysler U.K.
