CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- R.J. Milano, senior vice president of U.S. Marketing-Kid Innovation of McDonald's Corp., Oak Brook, Ill., has resigned along with Kim Poston, who was a senior member of the company's U.S. Marketing Calendar team, according to an internal memo from Tom Ryan, McDonald's U.S. chief marketing officer.

"We will miss them and the tremendous contributions they have made in building the business and advancing Brand McDonald's," he said in the memo sent late Wednesday. "Whether in the field or in a National Marketing position, R.J. and Kim have embodied the McDonald's spirit through their passion, energy and commitment to the Golden Arches."

Mr. Milano was promoted to the senior post in July and has managed the company's children's marketing efforts.
