Top Mercedes-Benz creatives Jump Ship

Three of four top creatives who worked on Mercedes-Benz of North America's account at Lowe & Partners/SMS, New York, have followed the $100-million account to Merkley Newman Harty, New York. Merkley won the account in early March after the car marketer terminated Interpublic Group of Co.'s Lowe, citing concerns over agency management and conflict of interest possibilities with IPG's General Motors' accounts. Andy Hirsch, Randy Saitta and Marty Orzio, who left Lowe a few weeks ago to freelance, are now executive creative directors. Industry insiders said they expected the moves.
