Harvey Marco to Take Over for Steve Rabosky

DETROIT (AdAge.com) -- Steve Rabosky, the Saatchi executive creative officer on Toyota's $792 million account for the last five years, resigned Oct. 21, according to President-Chief Operating Officer Rich Anderman.
Saatchi & Saatchi's Toyota creative chief is leaving.

Mr. Anderman said Mr. Rabosky’s successor is Harvey Marco, creative director on Toyota at Publicis Groupe's Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles, in Torrance, Calif. Mr. Rabosky hired Mr. Marco as his right-hand man in the summer of 2003 from sibling Fallon.

Effective Nov. 1
Mr. Rabosky’s resignation is effective Nov. 1, a spokeswoman said. Mr. Rabosky could not be reached for comment; his secretary said he wasn’t in the office.

The top creative “promoted himself out of a job” by allowing his second lieutenant to oversee the work, said an executive close to the situation. A spokeswoman declined to comment.

Saatchi started cutbacks of high-ranking executives 10 days before Christmas last year when it laid off all five of its group creative directors in a restructuring. Saatchi also did not replace Paul Silverman, management director on the Toyota account, when he left in late spring to join Omnicom Group's OMD West on Nissan North America's account.
