TORRE LAZUR MCCANN TO START MULTICULTURAL HEALTH-CARE UNIT

By Published on .

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Torre Lazur McCann Healthcare, an $850 million health-care agency, is starting what it claims is the first multicultural health-care shop.

The Multicultural Healthcare Marketing Group will be run by President Sheila Thorne and Vice President John Dosher.

Ms. Thorne was president of Minority Health Communications, an independent agency in Washington, and Mr. Dosher most recently worked with Bcom3 Group's Leo Burnett on the Hispanic portion of the U.S. Army account.

Mr. Dosher said the agency's first account is Abbott Laboratories' HIV-drug Kaletra.
