General Motors Corp.'s Chevrolet division, Detroit, this month kicks off prelaunch activities for its all-new Avalanche pickup/sport-utility hybrid. The new vehicle won't go on sale until next spring. The brand will get two tours, both visiting state fairs, concerts and other venues. "The Ultimate Challenge Tour'' will visit 10 major markets with the production version of the truck and offer a climbing wall to reach active young prospects. The "Ultimate Vehicle Tour'' will visit events in 14 cities and feature the concept version of the truck.
