Toy sites' traffic skyrocketed 99% during Thanksgiving week, according to Media Metrix. Compared to the same time last year, traffic to sites tied to bricks-and-mortar stores jumped 45%, and the top 10 Web sites saw an overall traffic increase of 10%, Media Metrix found. Toysrus.com beat eToys with 1,591 unique visitors during this year's Thanksgiving week; eToys had 1,386 unique visitors. Like last year, Amazon.com and eBay were the top e-commerce sites overall, with 4,163 and 3,499 unique visitors, respectively, Media Metrix found.
