Randy Pflughaupt Takes Position Formerly Held by Jim Farley

DETROIT (AdAge.com) -- Toyota Motor Sales USA has named a successor to Jim Farley, who was group VP-marketing

of the Toyota Division before his promotion last month to general manager of the Lexus Division.

Randy Pflughaupt will move from VP-distribution operations at the automaker to take the post of VP-marketing. He had been responsible for the vehicle distribution, from sales and production planning to dealer wholesale.

Joined automaker in 1982
Since joining Toyota in 1982, Mr. Pflughaupt has held a variety of positions, including regional assistant general manager, regional general sales manager, district manager and new era process team leader.

He has his B.A. in business administration from Oregon State University. He'll report to report to Bob Carter, group VP-general manager of the Toyota Division.
