Travel Channel acts to curb clutter

Cable TV's Travel Channel said it cut its national advertising availabilities to 8 minutes per hour from 10 minutes per hour. To further reduce clutter, the network also reduced on-air promos and station ID announcements to 2 minutes per hour from 3 minutes and 10 seconds. Local ad time remains the same at three minutes per hour.
