Hachette Filipacchi Magazines said it has finalized a deal to buy Travel Holiday from the Reader's Digest Association. Sharri Jurmain, who was the publisher of Woman's Day Special Issues at Hachette, will be the new publisher, replacing James Sammartino. Beth Anne Burzon, currently with Hachette's custom publishing operation, will be ad director. Boating Editor in Chief John Owens will move over as editor in chief of TH, replacing Maggie Simmons. In 1995, the magazine carried 501 ad pages, down 12.6% from 1994, according to the Publishers Information Bureau. Circulation, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulations, was flat at 603,546 for the six months ending Dec. The magazine will continue its ten times a year frequency. The first HFM issue will be the May issue. The magazine's trim size will be expanded from standard to oversized in the fall.
