Triarc sets IPO for beverage unit

Triarc Cos., White Plains, N.Y., said it will spin off its beverage portfolio into a new publicly held company to be named Snapple Beverage Group that will be launched through an IPO. Snapple will own and market Triarc's premium beverage brands, including Snapple, Mistic and Stewart's, and its Royal Crown, Diet Rite, RC Edge and Nehi soft-drink brands. Triarc expects to complete the Snapple IPO during the third quarter.
