Worldwide has hired Michael Garcia to lead the expansion of its Internet service offering to Latin America. As president and general manager of Tribal DDB Latin America, Mr. Garcia has set up a new Miami hub to provide Tribal DDB's consulting, marketing and e-commerce services. In this new appointment, he is charged with growing pan-regional digital clients, expansion of U.S. clients into Latin America and identifying merger and acquisitions targets. Mr. Garcia joins from Eon Strategists, where he was a founding member and VP-strategic consulting. He reports to Steven Marrs, president and chief operating officer, Tribal DDB North America. With headquarters in New York and London, Tribal DDB Worldwide (tribalddb.com)includes 21 full service offices spanning 15 countries throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. The firm has a worldwide staff of 500. Clients include: Anheuser-Busch, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Clorox, ExxonMobil, McDonald's Corp, Microsoft Corp., Pepsi, Unilever, Universal, Vodafone and Volkswagen.
