Tribune Media Services, Chicago, has bought Premier DataVision, Golden, Colo., a distributor of more than 2,000 movie and show-time newspaper ads a day. Tribune Media already has a wide network through which it distributes entertainment information to print and online newspapers around the U.S. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Premier DataVision, which will act as a subsidiary of Tribune Media, also distributes movie show-time data, stars' names, genre classifications and synopses to Hollywood Online, Los Angeles Times
and The Boston Globe
. Tribune will incorporate Premier DataVision's information into its TVQuest
Web site, an online TV listings site and MovieQuest
, a movie show-time site and MovieQuest Mail, a personalized weekly e-mail showing where new releases are playing in a users' local area. Earlier this week, America Online purchased MovieFone, a phone service and Web site directory of movie show times and locations.
