Tribune Media Services, Chicago, has bought Premier DataVision, Golden, Colo., a distributor of more than 2,000 movie and show-time newspaper ads a day. Tribune Media already has a wide network through which it distributes entertainment information to print and online newspapers around the U.S. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Premier DataVision, which will act as a subsidiary of Tribune Media, also distributes movie show-time data, stars' names, genre classifications and synopses to Hollywood Online, Los Angeles Times and The Boston Globe. Tribune will incorporate Premier DataVision's information into its TVQuest Web site, an online TV listings site and MovieQuest, a movie show-time site and MovieQuest Mail, a personalized weekly e-mail showing where new releases are playing in a users' local area. Earlier this week, America Online purchased MovieFone, a phone service and Web site directory of movie show times and locations.
