Tribune buys Fla. papers

Tribune Co., Chicago, said it is acquiring South Florida Newspaper Network, Deerfield Beach, Fla., publisher of 33 south Florida weekly newspapers with a combined circulation of approximately 700,000. The company also publishes 12 magazines. Terms were not disclosed. The company will become part of Tribune's Sun-Sentinel Co., Fort Lauderdale, Fla., publisher of the daily Sun-Sentinel.
