Tricon sibs may slice into pizza

Published on .

Personal Pan Pizza, a mainstay at Pizza Hut, may be on the menu at sister chains Taco Bell and KFC next year. Officials of Tricon Global Restaurants, Louisville, Ky., parent to all three chains, told Wall Street analysts today in a conference call that pizza is adding sales in test stores from $3,000 to $10,000 per week. A Taco Bell franchisee said the addition of pizza is going to be "huge." Together, the chains have 20,209 outlets in the U.S. Tricon couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
