Tripod makes tracks for twentysomethings

A new online service is betting that young Web surfers want more out of the online experience than music and games. Tripod, brainchild of 24-year-old Bo Peabody, aims to provide college students and those just out of school with what it calls "Tools for Life," information about personal finances, jobhunting, travel and community interests. The ad-supported site features content from Berkeley Travel Guides, Pocket Travel Guides and Lightbulb Press, a personal finance publisher.
