True North revenues grow

New business wins helped boost second quarter revenues at True North Communications 28.7% to $152.4 million, compared to $118.4 million for the same period last year. Revenues for the first six months of 1997 climbed 26% to $283.0 million from $224.4 million last year. Business gains for the quarter included ICG Telecom Group and Stride Rite at Foote Cone & Belding, San Francisco; Tyco at FCB, Los Angeles; Payless Parade of Shoes at FCB, Chicago; Excalibur at interactive subsidiary Modem Media and Allstate Insurance at Northern Lights Interactive.
