(June 19, 2001) -- Shareholders of True North Communications voted overwhelmingly to approve the company's acquisition by Interpublic Group of Cos. In a brief meeting held this morning in Chicago, 66% of eligible shareholders cast votes, approving the stock-swap with Interpublic by 97.3%.
