Turkey reviews international tourism biz

ISTANBUL--Turkey's Ministry of Tourism is inviting local and international agencies to pitch for a global tourism account worth $40 million.

The account includes creative, media planning, PR and event marketing for eight target country groups.

--First group ($10 million): Germany, Austria, Sweden, Poland;

--Second group ($5 million): Russia and former Soviet republics;

--Third group ($8.5 million): the U.K., Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Norway and South Africa.

--Fourth group ($4.5 million): U.S. and Canada;

--Fifth group ($7.7 million): France, Italy, Spain and Portugal;

--Sixth group ($2.3 million): Far East and Asia Pacific;

--Seventh group ($1 million): Middle East

--Eighth group ($1 million): Israel.

Agencies can apply for any one group or all the country groups.
