Turner launches dedicated Mexican feeds

Published on .

MEXICO CITY--In the first half of March, Turner Broadcasting System Latin America will launch dedicated Mexico feeds for the Cartoon Network and CNN en Espanol channels--the first time it has tailored channels for Mexico. Turner had previously launched a dedicated Brazil feed for the Cartoon Network in 1996.

Dedicated feeds allow for greater tailoring of programming, on-air promotions and advertising, Turner said.

Turner also announced that Juan Carlos Urdaneta has been promoted to the post of senior VP of distribution for TBS Latin America, overseeing sales and in-country marketing throughout the region and the Caribbean.

Mr. Urdaneta most recently served as senior VP, responsible for sales and marketing for Turner channels in Brazil, the Caribbean, Central America and Mexico. He remains in Atlanta.
