The Emmy award for "Outstanding Commercial" was presented to Apple Computer and agency TBWA
Chiat/Day, Venice, Calif., for "Think Different." The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, North Hollywood, Calif., announced the winner Aug. 29 in Los Angeles. The spot was the first effort for the brand from TBWA Chiat/Day since the agency regained the account last year. The other nominees in the five-way contest for the Emmy were: Leo Burnett
USA, Chicago, and Hallmark Cards for "Working Mother"; Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, New York, and American Express Co. for "Virtual Reality"; Y&R Advertising, New York, and Pella Windows for "The Elopement"; and Y&R and AT&T Corp. for "The Freshman."
