(Aug. 14, 2001) -- NATPE, the National Association of Television Program Executives, will significantly boost its presence to the advertising world at its annual programming convention next year in Las Vegas by increasing the number of advertising-themed panels.

NATPE will hold sessions on family-friendly programming; client pitches; global branding, featuring executives from TV networks worldwide; and a top-drawer executive panel hosted by Jon Mandel, co-managing director/chief negotiating officer of MediaCom and this year's NATPE chairman.

NATPE also will host an advertising reception, as well as have dedicated lounge areas showcasing major global advertising agencies. -- Wayne Friedman
