TV online network signs affiliates

Published on .

Four TV stations agreed to participate in WorldNow Online Network, a national network of TV station Web sites. The stations, all Fox affiliates owned by SF Broadcasting, will provide local news, information and advertising from their markets--WVUE, New Orleans; KHON, Honolulu; WALA, Mobile, Ala; and WLUK, Green Bay, Wis. WorldNow said it expects to sign up to 50 broadcast affiliates by yearend.

WorldNow is a subsidiary of DataMark Holding, a national direct marketing company. It will compete with offerings from Warner Bros, which is marketing CityWeb, as well as a network of stations that Petry Interactive is putting together.
