TWA marketing VP gets new assignment

Published on .

Trans World Airlines has shifted VP-Marketing and Services Beth Mack to VP/in-flight services. Ms. Mack's previous duties, which included overseeing advertising and TWA's frequent flier program, will for now be taken over by Exec VP-Marketing Don Casey. Steve Schlachter, recently promoted to managing director of marketing programs from director of advertising and promotions, will assist in overseeing advertising. A TWA spokesman said it was not clear whether a successor to Ms. Mack, 46, will be named.

Ms. Mack's new assignment was one of a number announced July 27 and follows the appointment of William Compton as TWA president-CEO earlier this year.
