U.K. agency joins U.S. e-commerce project

THAMES DITTON, Surrey--U.K. branding and digital communications consultancy Nucleus has joined with two U.S. companies to set up an e-commerce company whose service to famous retail brands is financed by a share of the resulting online revenues.

Equire, based in Colorado in the U.S., is also backed by DMW Worldwide Inc., a U.S. e-business solution company, and U.S. Internet consultancy Harrison Associates. Its first client is world-famous London toy retailer Hamleys, for whom Equire is targeting the U.S. premium gift market. Equire's services range from strategy and business planning, marketing and operational management, through to fulfillment -- including gift wrapping, three-day delivery to anywhere in the U.S. and a 24-hour customer call center.

Nucleus, based in Thames Ditton, Surrey, has evolved from a corporate branding consultancy into a digital communications agency over its 20-year history. However, the U.K. still lags far behind the U.S. in terms of e-commerce development.
