U.S. consumers to spend over $1 billion online before christma

NEW YORK--U.S. consumers will spend $1.1 billion buying merchandise online during the November through December holiday season, according to New York-based eMarketer.

Online holiday spending will account for 29% of the total U.S. consumer e-commerce revenue predicted for the year - $3.8 billion.

But online holiday sales of $1.1 billion still only represent 0.6% of total retail spending forecast for the November-December season.
