Unicef seeks agency

Published on .

The United Nations Children's Fund is searching for an ad agency to provide brand consulting. "We want an agency on board to work alongside us as we try to determine strategic, branding and communications issues," said Corinne Woods, head of communications at New York-based Unicef. Ms. Woods stressed the chosen agency won't initially handle traditional creative work but will act as a consultant working on a broad range of issues including advertising. No ad budget has been set. "Unicef is trying to create a new global movement for children to raise the children issues internationally alongside the corporate sector, academics, governments and head of states," Ms. Woods said. An initial short-list of agencies in London includes BMP DDB, Leo Burnett Co., D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper, M&C Saatchi, Saatchi & Saatchi and TBWA GGT Simons Palmer. Unicef has previously worked with Bates Worldwide in the U.K.
