Unilever’s global announcement imminent

Unilever is believed to have decided on assignments for $200 million in Bestfoods and other Unilever-owned food business after international pitches in New York this month. The pitches were from WPP Group-owned Unilever agencies J. Walter Thompson Co. and Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide as well as Interpublic Group of Cos.'s Lowe Lintas & Partners, along with Bestfoods' agencies DDB Worldwide and BBDO Worldwide, owned by Omnicom Group. Unilever's Global Advertising VP Michael Brockbank denied a decision has been made. An announcement is expected in the second half of February.
