Unilever shampoo sales slip in India

Hindustan Lever, the Indian arm of Unilever, is phasing out its Organics shampoo brand. Apparently the positioning of product,which promises to nourish hair roots, didn't work with the Indian consumer. According to market researcher ORG Marg, Hindustan Lever's share of the shampoo market has fallen recently. To counter the decline, the company is in the process of relaunching Clinic Plus, Clinic All Clear, Lux shampoo and Nihar coconut oil.
