United plans new ads on service

Published on .

United Airlines, Elk Grove Village, Ill., plans another round of ads pledgling to upgrade service efficiency, a United spokesman said. Print ads from Fallon, Minneapolis, will likely run in national newspapers and local dailies in key markets such as Washington and Chicago, the spokesman said. He did not provide exact dates or specifics about the message. United's 30-second TV spot featuring Chairman-CEO James Goodwin standing in a plane and apologizing for poor service issues, which broke last week, is scheduled to run until the end of this week on national cable and in spot markets.
