(Aug. 15, 2001) -- Universal Music Group will launch a new "mixable" MP3 CD format in the U.S. in September. The format allows consumers to play and remix their CDs music content on home PCs. Developed by professional DJ software maker Visiosonic, the MP3 player is custom-branded for each participating Universal label and includes a new Universal Internet advertising model. -- Adrienne Mand
